What is Barkada Coffee?
We’re a small Filipina-owned Portland-based coffee company sharing bold brews and Filipino roots. We highlight Philippine-grown coffee (one of the only places in the world that grows all four coffee species) and bring those flavors to your cup.

Where do you source your coffee?
All of our beans come directly from the Philippines, grown by farmers across Benguet, Batangas, Sultan Kudarat, and all across the 3 major regions of the Philippines. We partner with our trusted roasters, Teofilo Coffee Company, who help us showcase the unique character of each region.

What makes Philippine coffee special?
The Philippines grows Robusta, Excelsa, Arabica, and Liberica (aka Barako). Each species is distinct... from smooth florals to bold, funky, and heritage-rich. You won’t find this range anywhere else in the world.

Do you offer ground coffee or only whole bean?
Most of our retail bags are whole bean to keep things fresh. But we’ve got single-serve pour-over pouches (no grinder needed!) and coming soon, we'll have cold brew concentrate for ready-to-go options.

How fresh is the coffee?
Our partners roast in small batches and we thoughtfully pack and ship soon after, so you’re getting beans when they taste best. Store them in a cool, dry spot, and brew within a few weeks of opening for the best experience.

Do you ship nationwide?
Yes! We ship across mainland U.S. right now. Local pickup/delivery options may pop up in the Portland Metro area. Follow us on Instagram or check our Events page to catch us in person for local pickup.
